Elite Professional Notaries of Delaware (EPND)
As Notaries, professionalism is paramount. Delaware Notaries, we have to hold ourselves to a higher standard.
Because this isn’t just a stamp and a signature. It’s identity verification. It’s fraud prevention.
It’s protecting the integrity of legal and financial transactions. And in real-world situations, the difference between “casual” and “professional” matters.
It’s also:
Picking up the phone or answering a direct message when a potential client or partner contacts us, or returning it promptly.
Dressing professionally, and not looking like we just came from a nightclub.
Arriving on time for an appointment, with the supplies and knowledge you need to be able to conduct the appointment efficiently and correctly.
Making sure all of the documents are signed, dated, and notarized correctly… before leaving the signing table.
Not taking your kids or family members with you to the appointment, unless they are a witness.
Updating your commission on time, and not notarizing after your commission expires.
Treating clients’ confidential information seriously and taking the necessary steps to protect it.
A signer shows up with an ID that looks slightly off. Do you rush through it… or take the extra time with a magnifying glass and/or a UV light to verify it properly?
A client says, “The signer isn’t here, but you can just notarize it anyway.” Do you bend the rules… or stand firm and refuse?
You’re in the middle of a signing and notice blank spaces in the document. Do you ignore it… or stop and address it before proceeding?
A signer starts asking questions about the legal meaning of what they’re signing. Do you try to explain… or stay within your role and avoid giving legal advice?
These aren’t rare situations. They happen every single day. And how you respond defines your professionalism.
That’s why I created the LinkedIn Group, The Elite Professional Notaries of Delaware.
This is not a general notary group. It’s a professional network for Delaware Notaries who:
Stay current with Delaware notary law
Invest in ongoing education
Operate with consistency and integrity
Treat this business as a real business, not a side task
Not every Notary will qualify. Only the committed will.
If your serious about your work and want to be part of a network that reflects that standard, I invite you to apply.
